My Contribution

When Hayward technicians would pitch a product to the pool owner, they would have to go dig out a bunch of product brochures and walk the owner through all the talking points in a succinct, on-message conversation. Is it any wonder why Hayward didn't have many on-site upgrade requests?

Better than the brochures

Instead, we helped Hayward create what they called their Partner Portal: a progressive web app for pool techs to follow a step-by-step narrative pitch of each product, showcase product videos and demos, access relevant sales materials (brochures, sell sheets, flow curves, etc.) and more. Within a month of launch, nearly half of Hayward's authorized pool techs had started integrating Partner Portal into their workflow.

I never go anywhere without my tablet now. Using something this easy with everything I need in one place is a game-changer.

Because we were short-handed in the digital department, I did the majority of the UX design work (logic mapping, wireframing, user testing, prototyping, etc.). The goal was to create a flexible system from only a handful of content slide templates, since we knew that we'd be quickly versioning out more than two dozen product modules. All in all, I think I hit the simple/dynamic target pretty well.
