At the best of times, migrating large accounting firms to a cloud-based software solution is a logistic nightmare. But when the entire migration is governed by a tangled mess of half-implemented spreadsheets, the process can hardly be called ideal.
"Our spreadsheet works fine."
OK, Intuit, I'll grant you that accountants appreciate the subtle beauty of Excel pivot tables more than the average human. But not everything on God's green earth was meant to be a spreadsheet. Blasphemy, I know. Maybe, just maybe, simplifying it into a format that doesn't require a doctorate in data science might actually help entice more companies to purchase your services.
This was the spreadsheet.
And this is what we created.
Once we had simplified the process into a much more digestible format, Intuit asked us to expand on the information and turn it into a full-blown migration playbook.
Yeah, OK. This is better than the spreadsheet.
